Terms & Refund Policy

Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued unless the event is canceled or postponed by the organizers due to natural disasters, acts of God, global pandemics, war, terrorism threats, or other circumstances beyond the organizer’s control.

Wristband / Ticket Validation

Upon presenting a valid ID and receipt, patrons will receive a wristband or digital validation granting access to the event. Wristband or entry instructions will be communicated prior to the event date. The primary ticket holder must be present.

Event Changes

The promoter reserves the right to add or remove artists, modify event details, or adjust the schedule without prior notice.

Entrance & Security

By purchasing a ticket, you consent to security checks. The promoter and venue reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any individual whose behavior is deemed unsafe or disruptive, without refund.

Wristband Responsibility

Wristbands are non-transferable. Lost, damaged, or tampered wristbands will not be replaced, and entry will be denied.

Event Postponement or Cancellation

The promoter or venue may postpone, cancel, interrupt, or stop the event due to weather, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Assumption of Risk

By attending Detty December, ticket holders voluntarily assume all risks associated with the event, including personal injury, loss, damage, or liability occurring before, during, or after the event.

Detty December Sierra Leone: Mandatory Media Release, Recording & Image Rights Consent

1. Binding Acceptance & Entry Terms By purchasing a ticket, receiving a complimentary or promotional ticket, RSVP access, credential, wristband, or by entering, attending, participating in, or being present at any Detty December Sierra Leone event or affiliated activity, you expressly acknowledge, understand, and irrevocably agree that you may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed, audio-recorded, or otherwise captured. This agreement is binding upon your heirs, executors, and administrators.

2. Scope of Consent You grant Detty December Sierra Leone, its owners, producers, promoters, affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, licensees, contractors, sponsors, and media partners the absolute, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and irrevocable right to:

Capture your name, image, likeness, voice, appearance, actions, statements, and biographical information.
Record you in video, film, photography, audio, and digital formats.
Use, reproduce, edit, alter, adapt, composite, dub, subtitle, publish, distribute, broadcast, transmit, stream, display, sell, license, archive, and otherwise exploit such recordings.
In any medium now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to: Advertising and marketing; Social media, websites, and digital platforms; Television, film, documentaries, series, and motion pictures; Commercial sales, licensing, and monetization; Promotional, editorial, and archival use.

3. Digital Synthesis & Artificial Intelligence You expressly grant the right to use your likeness, voice, and appearance in connection with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital synthesis technologies. This includes, but is not limited to, the creation of “digital twins,” AI-generated voice cloning, and the use of your image to train or be processed by generative AI models for the purpose of creating promotional, editorial, or commercial content related to the Event. You waive any claims related to the digital manipulation, synthesis, or AI-enhancement of your image or voice, including claims of ‘deepfake’ creation or misappropriation of digital identity.

4. Locations Covered This consent applies without limitation to recordings made at: Clubs and nightlife venues; Hotels, resorts, and accommodations; Streets and public spaces; Private or public venues; Beaches and waterfronts; Pool parties; Transportation, excursions, and pop-up events; Any location or activity associated with or branded as Detty December Sierra Leone.

5. No Compensation / No Approval Rights You acknowledge and agree that:

No compensation, royalties, or payments are owed to you.
You waive any right to inspect, approve, or restrict the use, editing, or distribution of any recordings.
You waive any moral rights, performers’ rights, or similar rights to the extent permitted under applicable law.

6. Privacy, Publicity & Data Protection (UK / EU / GDPR) For purposes of UK and EU data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you acknowledge that:

Your image and recordings constitute personal data.
Your attendance and participation constitute explicit consent for processing such data.
The lawful basis for processing includes consent, legitimate interests, and performance of a contract.
Such data may be processed, stored, transferred, and used internationally, including outside the UK and EU, without additional notice.

7. Waiver of Claims & Release of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive and release any and all claims or causes of action against Detty December Sierra Leone, its officers, employees, and agents arising from or related to: Rights of privacy or publicity; Defamation or false light; Misappropriation or misuse of likeness; Intellectual property claims; Any lawful use of recordings as described herein.

8. Assumption of Risk & Health Safety You acknowledge that attendance involves certain inherent risks (including but not limited to large crowds, loud music, and flashing lights). You voluntarily assume all risks of personal injury, property damage, or health-related issues arising from your attendance. You agree to comply with all local laws of Sierra Leone and venue-specific safety regulations.

9. Minors & Guardianship If you are accompanied by a minor, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of said minor and that you grant the same consents and waivers on their behalf by allowing them to enter the event space.

10. No Expectation of Privacy You acknowledge that: Detty December Sierra Leone events are public or semi-public environments; You have no reasonable expectation of privacy; Cameras and recording devices may be in continuous use.

11. Governing Law & Severability This agreement shall be governed by the laws of Sierra Leone, with consideration for international data standards. If any portion of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.

12. Opt-Out Acknowledgment If you do not consent to being recorded, you must not enter any Detty December Sierra Leone event space or affiliated activity. Entry constitutes binding acceptance of these terms.
